Have you ever broken a piece of pottery or a dinner plate? As it slips from your hands, you gasp and reach out desperately to catch it before it smashes on the floor. However, your efforts are in vain; when it hits the floor, it shatters into many splintered pieces. You sweep up the shards, realizing that it will never be used again.
Are there days when you stand in front of the mirror, look at your reflection, and wonder if the broken pieces of your life can be put back together? Friends, we have an amazing, gracious, and mighty God who delights in performing miracles in each of our lives. He can put the pieces back together.

Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a mighty arm. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.
- Isaiah 40:10 (NLT)
Strong & Mighty Warrior
The title—Sovereign Lord—evokes a vivid image of a powerful leader and defender who will reign. Because He is the Sovereign Lord, He holds dominion and complete authority over all things. The imagery of His mighty arm reminds us of God’s power to overcome all obstacles.
Our Sovereign Lord addresses our brokenness, for He alone brings healing to our souls and minds. Our daily hope resides in this Promised One who will return to renew and restore all things, rewarding those who faithfully follow Him. Someday, this strong and mighty warrior will make all things right.
Tender Shepherd
In the meantime, we have a kind shepherd watching over us. He is a wise and gentle guide who cares deeply about our hurt, pain, and daily struggles. Sheep need a shepherd to watch over them each day.
He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.
- Isaiah 40:11 (NLT)
The image of a lamb reminds us that we are weak and vulnerable. It requires special care, and the shepherd extends compassion to it. He holds it tenderly and even pulls the lamb into his heart (his bosom). The Lord seeks to have an intimate and personal relationship with us. He wants to protect us and offers his tender care. Friends, pursue a close, personal relationship and walk with him daily.
Head to Heart
Broken Pieces – We can bring our broken pieces to the Lord, and we can trust Him. Why? He is our Redeemer and Comforter, our strong and mighty Warrior, the tender Shepherd, and the One who truly understands every single part of us: body, soul, spirit, and mind. He sees each broken piece, and He is the ONLY One who can bring healing.
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord. You see my broken pieces.
I want to offer my entire self, all my broken pieces, to You. You are filled with mercy, and You are the ultimate grace-giver! Today, I lay down my broken pieces (failures and weaknesses). I ask You to renew my heart, soul, and spirit.
In the mighty name of my Lord and Shepherd, Amen.
Thankful for this ministry!
