God loves you. He has a plan for your life and wants you to experience peace that surpasses all understanding.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, ESV)
God is holy and righteous. However, due to our sinful natures, we are separated from Him.
“For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment.” (Isa. 64:6, NASB)
The Bible reminds us that we fall short of His holy perfection. Many believe they can earn their way into heaven through good works.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, ESV)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, ESV)
God sent His Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap that separates us from God. Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose victorious over death. He laid down His life to pay the penalty for your sin.
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24, ESV)
When you believe that Jesus paid the price for your sins and accept God’s gift of eternal life, you become a child of God. He loves you and invites you to trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12, ESV)
Prayer of Salvation
Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I am a sinner. I want to turn away from my sin, and I ask for Your forgiveness.
Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and pay the penalty for my sin. I believe that He rose from the grave, triumphant over sin and death.
I invite Jesus into my heart today. I desire to walk with God for the rest of my life.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray.
Amen.
