It was late November, and my dad and I had been running errands together. The sun had just set, and rain was starting to fall. The traffic light in front of us turned red, and I quickly pressed the brake pedal. However, the wet pavement caused the tires to slide. I panicked and cried out, “Dad, I can’t stop the car!”
My father, an experienced driver, responded quickly. I can still hear his calm voice saying, “Pump your brake pedal.” Even though my heart was racing, I followed his instructions, and our car immediately slowed down. An accident was avoided.
Help me, O Lord my God; save me according to Your lovingkindness.

This was an excellent lesson and a powerful reminder that we have a Heavenly Father who hears our cries and watches over us every day. He is always present and demonstrates His loving kindness to His children, even during their times of crisis and despair.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.
Therefore, my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.- Psalm 28:7
On that rainy night many years ago, I knew I could rely on my father. He was right there with me. His presence gave me confidence, and his words offered the guidance I needed.
Friend, our Heavenly Father is trustworthy and always near. It is very helpful when we turn to God’s Word and let the Truth soak into our hearts and minds. God’s Word can turn our worry and fear into peace and calm. Open your heart and mind. Speak these words out loud: “Lord, my heart trusts in You.”

I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Trust in the Lord forever. For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.
For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please fill our hearts and minds with the Truth—Your Truth. Remind us that You will never leave us or forsake us. You are right here with us. May we turn to Your Word for comfort and peace. You love us, and You have an excellent plan for each of us. Strengthen us today so that we may bring glory and honor to Your perfect name. Amen.
